Subtle Body & Chakra System Traditional Yogic Exploration
- Time: Sunday, May 24
- Date: 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Hosted at Mysore Yoga Atlanta, this special offering invites practitioners into a thoughtful exploration of the yogic subtle body and the traditional teachings surrounding the chakra system.
The session will begin with a guided lecture on the seven chakras, exploring their role within classical yogic philosophy and the subtle body traditions. From there, participants will be guided through a gentle restorative yoga practice designed to support balance and awareness through these energetic centers.
The experience will continue with a meditation inspired by traditional yogic teachings on prฤแนa (vital energy) and inner awareness, offering space for quiet reflection and integration. We will conclude with a sound healing practice using tonal frequencies associated with the seven chakras, encouraging deep relaxation and subtle energetic harmony.
This offering is designed to be both educational and experiential, honoring the contemplative spirit and philosophical depth of traditional yoga practice.

Immerse yourself in a 90-minute sensory sanctuary designed to soothe the nervous system, invite deep relaxation, and realign your energy.
Begin with a gentle meditation and intentional breathwork to quiet the mind and awaken the bodyโs innate capacity for healing. From there, surrender to a transformative sound journey, guided by seven chakra-aligned crystal bowls, each tuned to a distinct energy center to nurture balance, clarity, and harmony.
Enhancing the sonic landscape is a 100-year-old Indian gong whose rich, resonant tones weave through the space, complemented by chimes and a spectrum of instruments that support a profoundly restorative and meditative state.
This workshop offers a tranquil refuge for stress relief, energetic reset, emotional release, or simply a generous space to rest and receive.

A fun, eye-opening, challenging, and game-changing workshop for practitioners from all styles of Yoga! Come laugh and sweat with Krista as she delves into the physical exploration of the body through Yoga asana. How we hold our bodies up, move our head, maintain posture or not, walk, sit, and move all determine so much of how we feel in the body in which we live. Yoga practice alone does a great deal to improve posture, align the spine and musculature, our stance, and more, but that alone isnโt enough! Letโs look at how we can bring awareness, mindfulness, and effort into how we live in and carry the body both on and off the mat. Suitable for all levels. ๐

The key to jump backs and jump throughs isnโt momentum, it isnโt about the length of your arms or the amount you weigh. From the gross to the subtle, this is what yoga is about. To do that, we start with the physical body using asanas and movement to create a fit and strong body, which gives us the framework to cultivate a fit and strong mind. The Ashtanga Yoga method is brilliant as it helps us cultivate physical strength while at the same time helping us evolve our mental and spiritual realm. The asanas themselves become more and more challenging as you work through the first and into the second and third series. This workshop is designed to assist practitioners on the physical plane focused on fundamental techniques that will aid in building strength and a solid physical foundation that will assist the student in their Ashtanga asana practice and their overall spiritual journey. Krista will teach you how to cultivate strength and steadiness of body and mind by exploring alignment, isolated strength-building exercises, meditation techniques, positive thinking, affirmations, and much more. Suitable for all levels.
